Princess Zinaida Yusupova (1861–1939) had exceptionally close ties with the House of Cartier and was said to have been one of the Maison’s “best clients”.
Following the 1917 Revolution, the Yusupov family fled Russia. For this project, Cartier Russia’s initial idea was to celebrate the exceptional relationship between Princess Yusupova and the Maison.
Studio Marianne Guély envisioned a dreamlike floral universe: generous bouquets of paper flowers scattered throughout the Palace’s salons, echoing the delicate, diaphanous hues of each room.
This floral composition pays tribute to the beauty and refined aesthetic sensibility of Princess Zinaida Yusupova, who was renowned for her love of flowers and for always keeping her Palace in St Petersburg in bloom.
